EA Mobile Brings Its Game Lineup To Smartphones

EA Mobile, a division of game publisher Electronic Arts, has announced plans to expand its offerings for a variety of smartphone devices.

The company, formerly known as JAMDAT before its acquisition by Electronic Arts in 2005, has long been a producer of games for mobile phones, and have had some smartphone offerings in the past, particularly for Symbian-based devices.

Now, however, the company has announced its intention to expand its smartphone lineup, citing analyst data that says smartphone users are more than twice as likely to download and play games on their device than regular phone users.

EA Mobile's list of games covers a variety of genres, including titles like Doom, The Sims, Scrabble, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, and SimCity Societies.

The company's lineup includes versions of some or all of these for Windows Mobile, Symbian, and Blackberry devices, though availability across platforms has been intermittent.
