Opera Mini Beta 4.1 Released

Opera Mini has become one of the most popular mobile web browsers due to its ability to be used on nearly any mobile device. Downloaded to over 1 million mobiles already, Opera Mini has done a considerable job in bringing the desktop-web to moible phones.

An update of this browser, Opera Mini 4.1, brings several improvements and enhancements to users while also integrating more into mobile devices. A new beta version of Opera Mini 4.1 has been released to test these new features over a larger audience, and get feedback towards other enhancements that can come in the final version.

An additional feature of Opera Mini 4.1 Beta is that signed and unsigned versions are being tested in this release.The ability to use signed software allows for greater security for the mobile user. Opera is also able to use the signed version of Opera Mini 4.1 Beta to greater refine the performance of Opera Mini's servers.

Opera Mini 4.1 Beta is a Java-based application that renders web content as it has been optimized through Opera's servers. It is a free application and usable on most mobile devices, though all features might not work on all devices. Some mobile devices might need to download a compatable Java-runtime environment (JRE) in order to use Opera Mini.
