A small image of an otherwise unknown HTC smartphone has appeared on the Web. Just about all that is known about this device is that it could be announced as early as next month.
This model appears in a picture with several other HTC smartphones that has been posted in the forums of Mobile-Review.

It shows a device with a relatively large, horizontally-oriented keyboard that can slide behind its screen (see image at right).
The most likely candidate is the Raphael, which unconfirmed reports say will be HTC's new high-end smartphone, and the replacement for models like the AT&T Tilt and HTC Mogul.
This upcoming Windows Mobile device will supposedly have a VGA display, but what it will look like is unknown. If this is a picture of the Raphael, it is the first to leak out.
Dark Horse Candidate
This image somewhat fits the description of the HTC Dream, which will be this company's first smartphone running the Linux-based operating system Android. There's no way to say for sure though, as HTC has so-far managed to prevent any good images of the Dream from leaking out.
However, the device in today's leaked image appears to be running Windows Mobile. Still, the image is so low-resolution it's difficult to say for sure.
Coming Next Month?
Earlier this month, HTC announced an event to be held on May 6 where it plans to unveil the "next wave of HTC Innovation".
Speculation on what this company plans to reveal is running rampant, but this smartphone could be on the list.
