Palm Treo 500 Comes to  O2

After originally debuting from Vodafone, the Treo 500 is now available from a second European wireless telecom: O2.

This is a Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone with 3G and  landscape-oriented QVGA screen and keyboard.

It is available in the U.K., and  can be found on O2's web site. It can be had for free, depending on the service plan.

Electric Pocket has released its popular BlackBerry application, the FlipSide MP3 player, for Windows Mobile devices. It plays both MP3 and WMA audio formats, and has an iPhone-like interface that allows users to visually "swoosh" through music.

In addition to the swoosh interface, this application features and optimized user interface that takes advantage of touchscreened and non-touchscreened devices alike. It is able to download and display the cover art of each album and links to a FlipSide Extras website which provides biographies of the artists, recommendations for similar artists and more.

NoviiRemote Now Compatible with Palm Centro 

Palm OS users have long used NoviiRemote as a universal remote control for home entertainment devices. A recent update to NoviiRemote brings compatibility to the Palm Centro.

NoviiRemote is custom software that allows users to replace $600-$1000 worth of remote controls by containing a compact solution that fits on the mobile device. NoviiRemote is a suite of several remote programs, customizable, and containing several presets for popular home entertainment devices.

Updated MyStrands Social Player for Symbian S60

MyStrands is a popular social networking website based around music. It also has a mobile version called the MyStrands Social Player which takes the social networking action to mobile devices. In these latest update of this application for Symbian S40 and S60 devices, the MyStrands Social Player adds support for scrobbling to last.fm, improved artist and music recommendation, a Who's Listening function, and a revamped user interface.

Palm Centro Released in Venezuela

After recently announcing the sale of its one-millionth Centro, Palm, Inc. has introduced this smartphone in Venezuela through Movistar.

With a new compact design, Centro is Palm's smallest and lightest smartphone and is now available through Movistar in red and blue.
