As it promised to do last month, Verizon has launched its version of the BlackBerry Curve, a smartphone designed to appeal to both business users and consumers.
This version of the Curve, dubbed the BlackBerry 8330, includes the same multimedia capabilities as other recent BlackBerry models, as well as EV-DO high-speed Internet, and an internal GPS receiver with support for Verizon's premium VZ Navigator mapping service.

The Curve also features a QVGA display, 2 MPx camera, Bluetooth 2.0, and a microSDHC card slot.
It is 4.2 in. by 2.4 in. by 0.6 in. and 4.0 oz.
RIM says its 1150 mAh battery will provide Up to 260 minutes of talk time or up to 264 hours of standby time.
The device is costs $270 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year contract. An additional $100 off will be given to those signing up for certain qualifying voice and data plans, bringing the device's lowest cost to $170 with new service.
