Handango and Capcom to Bring Games to N. American Smartphones
Handango and Capcom Interactive have announced a partnership to distribute top gaming titles to North American smartphone users. Titles such as Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, Street Fighter, and Mega Man will be introduced for several smartphone models. The first to launch will be from the Who Wants to be a Millionaire franchise.
Capcom's mobile games will be available on Handango's online storefront (www.handango.com) and through its on-device client, and available for BlackBerry and Windows Mobile platforms.
N-Gage Adds Konami Games Such as Metal Gear Solid
Nokia's N-Gage gaming platform has been steadily adding new titles, and has recently announced that Konami mobile titles will be added to the N-Gage mobile games platform. The mobile version of Metal Gear Solid will be the first Konami game released.
A 2007 International Mobile Gaming Awards winner, Metal Gear Solid Mobile includes features such as 3D art displays and camera motions; in-game camouflage system utilizing color samples from the scenery of the real world captured by the handset's camera; and additional controls made for mobile devices.
N-Gage is a made-for-mobile games service available in compatible Nokia N-Series and other S60 3rd Edition devices from Nokia. To download Metal Gear Solid Mobile and other mobile titles, visit the N-Gage website or the N-Gage games console.
Palm Introduces Centro in Australia
The Palm Centro has been released on the Telsa network in Australia. The GSM version of the Palm Centro features Pocket Tunes, VersaMail, and Palm's famous PIM applications.
