According to reports, a regional manager for HTC has said that his company will likely have devices running Windows Mobile 7 on the market in the first three months of 2009.
The statements were attributed to Kevin Chen, General Manager of HTC Middle East, Africa & CIS; however the site on which they were originally cited has gone down, replaced by an "account suspended" notice.
Microsoft itself has not said anything official about Windows Mobile 7.
More About Windows Mobile 7

Windows Mobile 7 is expected to heavily redesign the Windows Mobile interface, emphasizing touch and motion gestures, along with a darker and more visually lush user interface.
These features are widely seen as a response to the success of the iPhone's touchscreen-heavy interface.
It has also been previously reported that Windows Mobile 7 is intended to merge the touchscreen and non-touchscreen versions of the operating system, creating a single common platform, though whether this is still planned is unclear.
