For a limited time, AT&T is cutting the cost of the Palm Centro by $30. This includes a new version in an "electric blue" casing which launched this week.
The reason given for this price drop was the back-to-school shopping season, but unconfirmed reports have indicated that AT&T's version of this smartphone isn't selling as well as the ones from Sprint and Verizon, possibly because it lacks 3G high-speed wireless networking support.

More About the Palm Centro
The Centro is targeted at consumers and first-time smartphone buyers.
It is the smallest Palm OS-based smartphone ever. Nevertheless, it still includes a full QWERTY keyboard and a 320-by-320-pixel touchscreen. It is 4.2 inches tall, 2.1 inches wide, and 0.73 inches thick, and weighs 4.2 ounces.
The AT&T version of this device does not offer 3G wireless networking, but it does include support for the 2.5G standard EDGE.
In addition, the Centro has Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, and a 1.3 MP camera.
This is the Palm's fastest selling smartphone in Palm's history, with over 2 million units sold so far.
An unlocked version is available for those who would like to use it with GSM carriers that do not officially offer it.
