AT&T has launched its AT&T Navigator Global Edition mapping service for select mobile devices and across 20 countries. This is one of the first LBS implementations where a carrier has headed the launch across devices internationally.
AT&T Navigator Global Edition is a GPS-based service that works in English, German, Italian, and Spanish for domestic Windows Moblie and BlackBerry handsets. In addition to point-to-point directions, a business finder gives access to a database of 19 milllion businesses a travailer might need. Customers will be able to use this service in the six cities hosting Olympics events.
AT&T Navigator Global Edition includes the U.S domestic version of this service, and is available for $19.98 per month. For more information, visit the AT&T website.
