HTC's next smartphone, the Touch Pro, has passed a regulatory hurdle on its path to release in the United States: the GSM version of this device has received approval from the FCC.
The FCC is often a good place for finding out about new devices before they are officially released, but that's not really the case this time. HTC has already announced this device, so its existence isn't a secret.
Also, all that the FCC filing notes publicly is that this will be a quad-band GSM phone with EDGE and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity. There is no mention of 3G in these public-ally noted documents.
A CDMA version of this smartphone with EV-DO received FCC approval earlier this month.

It will feature a thumb-sized keyboard that has an additional number row, Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro with the HTC TouchFLO 3D user interface, and a VGA screen.
