TouchXperience Will Offer a New UI for Windows Mobile

Replacing the standard Windows Mobile "look and feel" is all the rage right now, and even third-party software developers are getting in on the act. TouchXperience is an upcoming application for specific Windows Mobile devices that will offer higher levels of interaction via touch and motion-sensing controls.

More than just a today-screen enhancement, this replacement user interface will also customize core applications and enables new features.

A summary of TouchXperience's features include:

• TouchMenu: a series of customized applications that replace default applications and are optimized for touchscreen interaction;
• TouchHome: an enhanced today-screen featuring widgets, custom menus, and a user-editble XML-theme
• Custom Events: enabling timed and gesture-based device behaviors based on user preferences.
• Auto-rotation using the accelerometer in the Diamond/Touch Pro

TouchXperience will be compatible with HTC's Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, TyTN, and TyTN II models.
