T-Mobile Launches New Sidekick

T-Mobile and Microsoft's Danger subsidiary have launched the latest in the Sidekick line of mobile devices, featuring improved web browsing and new platform tweaks.

Despite being previously rumored to be called the Sidekick 2008, to prevent confusion with older models, the new device is referred to simply as the T-Mobile Sidekick. 

It emphasizes improved web browsing capabilities, replaceable and customizable "shells," and expanded instant messaging status screens.

The device includes a 2 megapixel camera, and the ability to record video.

It also offers support for the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, allowing use of Bluetooth stereo headphones.

The latest Sidekick is smaller than its predecessor, and to accomplish this the WQVGA display and keyboard are slightly smaller, too.

It sells for $150 with service contract and mail-in rebate. More information is available on T-Mobile's website.
