Skype has released a new version of its VoIP software that supports that latest version of Windows Mobile.
Skype 2.2.0.45 -- which was introduced yesterday -- is the first to fully support Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. However, there is not yet an update for smartphones running WM 6.1 Standard.
This free application can be downloaded from the Skype website.
What Is Skype?
Skype allows users to make voice calls to other Skype users for free using Wi-Fi or 3G wireless networking. There are versions of this application for smartphones, handhelds, laptops, and desktops.
It can also be used to make calls to regular phones, but users have to pay for this service.
