In what may be a response to the newly released Sidekick, T-Mobile has reportedly discontinued the Sidekick Slide.
This smartphone no longer appears within T-Mobile's mobile devices lineup, but there has been no official word from T-Mobile or this device's developer Danger, Inc. (which is now owned by Microsoft) as to whether it has been dropped. The Slide is very similar to the newly released Sidekick in price, and therefore the two models could be considered redundant in the product lineup. The Sidekick iD, the latest expensive Sidekick model to date, is still available on T-Mobile website. More about the Sidekick Slide The Sidekick Slide features a QVGA screen, the Sidekick-style flip QWERTY keyboard, 1.3 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth wireless technology. Released last November, the $200 Slide was positioned next to the Sidekick LX as a more prosumer-messaging focused version of this popular smartphone.
