By this point, reports that Sprint is going to introduce a version of the HTC Touch Diamond is old news. But there's a new twist to it: several images showing this device with a red casing have emerged.
These were posted in the forums of SprintUsers, and could be a skillful hoax, but it wouldn't be out of character for this carrier to release the Diamond in several colors.
If nothing else, these appear to be the best images so far of Sprint's version of this device.
More About the HTC Touch Diamond (CDMA)
There have been consistent, albeit unconfirmed, reports for many months that Sprint will introduce a CDMA version of the Touch Diamond, and this is expected to happen in the coming weeks.
The GSM version of this smartphone debuted in June, but the one for CDMA carriers like Sprint will be slightly different.
All the versions will have a VGA display, a 3-megapixel camera, 4 GB of storage, GPS, and Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro.
The CDMA version, though, will have a slightly more curved casing than the GSM equivalent, and reportedly include a significantly larger battery: 1340 mAh vs. 900 mAh.
Both versions will have 3G, and the CDMA one will have EV-DO Rev. A. It will also have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
