Joikusoft has already made waves in the Symbian S60 community with its JoikSpot application, which turns Wi-Fi enabled smartphones into hotspots. A new agreement with the Wi-Fi community FON has been announced which will take the mobile hotspot component and add community integration and security.
The application, called FonSpot, will be an exclusive offering for members of the FON community enabling users to share a mobile Internet connection with up to five Wi-Fi-enabled users via the FON network community.
This application will be a fully secure mobile Internet hotspot solution, making use of the Symbian operating system and Wi-Fi security protocols in order to create a secure mobile Internet experience.
FonSpot is slated to be available during 3Q.
Users looking for an idea of the JoikuSpot solution for single use can download the Joikspot Lite (free) and Joikspot Premium applications for Symbian S60 mobile devices from the Joikusoft website.
