The Treo 800w may be Palm's last device with a number in its name. The company is dropping the practice of assigning numbers to its products, according to a new report.

For many years, Palm has offered products such as the Tungsten T3, Treo 600, and Palm m515. But several of its recent smartphones have not had digits in their names, including the Palm Centro and the new Treo Pro.
Brodie C. Keast, a senior vice president for marketing, told the New York Times that this will be the company's policy going forward.
