Palm has released the latest in its successful line of Treo smartphones. Called the Treo Pro, this is the first GSM Treo to use Windows Mobile 6.1. Officially, the Treo Pro isn't on sale now, but having received one, Palm has given us permission to post a preliminary video about it.
Within this clip, I go through the usual unboxing and also take a look at the Treo Pro compared to Nokia N95 and MWg Zinc II, a couple of smartphones that are similar in function.
The preview is recorded using the Nokia E71, which I'll compare to the Treo Pro in the full review.
Stay tuned to Brighthand as we will have a full review of the Treo Pro coming soon.
More About the Palm Treo Pro
This smartphone has the design that's become a hallmark of the Treo line, a candybar shape with 320-by-320-pixel touchscreen above a QWERTY thumb-keyboard.
It will run Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional on a 400 MHz processor from Qualcomm.
The Pro is a quad-band GSM device with tri-band UMTS/HSDPA support, which means it can be used for both phone calls and 3G wireless access around the world. In addition, it will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
