Sprint has announced on-sale dates for the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro smartphones. Both models have been released in GSM markets globally, but this marks their first CDMA releases.
Sprint's HTC Touch Diamond
The HTC Touch Diamond features a 2.8-inch VGA screen with HTC's TouchFlo 3D interface. It includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, the Opera Mobile web browser, MS Office Mobile, GPS and A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi.
Using Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the Sprint adaptation adds the Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV on-demand digital television.
The HTC Touch Diamond will be available starting September 14th and cost $249.99 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
Hands on with the Sprint HTC Touch Diamond
Kevin O'Brien was on site to grab some hands-on video of the new Touch Diamond from Sprint.
"The TouchFlo 3D interface is extremely fast, the screen is incredibly bright, and the phone is packed with every feature you could want. On top of all of this the weight of this phone super thin and very lightweight. The only fault I could find is I don't already have one of these in my pocket."
Sprint's HTC Touch Pro
The HTC Touch Pro adds a sliding 5-row QWERTY keyboard to all of the features of the HTC Touch Diamond. It will also add the Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV.
HTC Touch Pro will be available Oct. 19 for $299.99 with a two-year contract and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
