The HTC Touch Pro isn't even in wide release yet, but already photos have surfaced of the next generation device in the Touch family, featuring a widescreen display and 512 MB of memory.
Update: HTC has officially announced the Touch HD, confirming the leaked details on this device, and adding some new information.
Dubbed the HTC Touch HD, the device will supposedly include a 800-by-480-pixel (WVGA) display, a 528 MHz Qualcomm processor, 512 MB of flash, and 288 MB of RAM.
Other features of this quad-band phone will reportedly include GPS, HSDPA (European bands only), a 5 MPx camera, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 2.0/EDR.
New Details
HTC's announcement of the Touch HD revealed that this smartphone's WVGA touchscreen will measure 3.8 inches, and that it will include Wi-Fi.
Also, the company said that this model will have a 1350 mAh battery, and a microSD card slot will provide additional storage capacity for files and applications.
Reports cite the device as being planned for release by the holiday shopping season, however no more firm date or pricing information is available.
The initial release will be in Europe, but will be available later in other regions.
