Skyfire has released a new beta version of its free web browser for Windows Mobile. In addition, the company is ending its closed beta program and is now offering this software to all.
This application/service supports full web PC-like browsing, including rich media content, supporting Ajax, Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media, and others.
"We don't like to think of ourselves as a mobile Internet browser," said Skyfire CEO and Co-Founder Nitin Bhandari. "Skyfire is a full feature Internet browser on the mobile device.
New Features
In addition to known bug fixes and general performance gains, Skyfire 0.8 for Windows Mobile also adds the following enhancements:
Skyfire has begun begin the migration of current 0.6 users to the 0.8 version, and also allows new Windows Mobile users to download it directly from www.skyfire.com.
This browser is also available in version 0.6 for Symbian S60. The 0.8 version will be released for this platform shortly.
