An internal document that has leaked out of Verizon Wireless may reveal the general time this carrier is going to release two hotly-anticipated smartphones.
A Verizon internal training schedule that was leaked to Engadget shows that employees have until November 2 to complete the course on the BlackBerry Storm, which will be RIM's first device with a touchscreen.
The same document tells employees that they must complete their training on the HTC Touch Diamond by December 3.
Verizon has not yet officially announced either of these models, but this is just the latest in a series of unconfirmed reports showing this carrier will soon introduce them.
More about the BlackBerry Storm
According to various leaks and rumors, including the picture to the right, this model will have a tablet shape with a relatively large display.
The Storm will supposedly depend almost entirely on its touchscreen for input. There'll be no hardware keyboard, not even a sliding one, nor a trackball. There will be, however, a full collection of standard control buttons.
More about the HTC Touch Diamond
The HTC Touch Diamond runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and features a 2.8-inch VGA screen with HTC's TouchFLO 3D interface. It includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, the Opera Mobile web browser, MS Office Mobile, GPS and A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi.
Verizon's version is expected to support this carrier's EV-DO network.
