This morning we got invited to a personal showing of the Handspring Treo 600 to be released this fall.  Following are pictures and all the details ....

The Handspring representative filled us in on all the details of this new phone coming in Fall 2003, to be released worldwide:

• 32 MB RAM + SDIO
• 6 Hours available talk time (up from 2 hours for Treo 300)
• 1800 mAh battery (up from 800 for Treo 300)
• Built in camera on back of phone
• MP3 Playing, dual speakers
• 160 x 160 screen, very bright!
• Excellent volume
• Palm OS 5.2 (Samsung i500 is Palm OS 4)
• Available Fall 2003
• Special short cut applications that enable 5-way navigation for quick and easy access to - well - everything
• Multimedia abilities allows for playing of movies

The first provider with this new device will likely be Sprint, it is already in the testing phase for some providers, but the software and hardware are still being tweaked somewhat for bugs.  What we held this morning was pretty much so the completed product though, and this thing is NICE!  More details and specs later.  Here's a few more pictures for now:
