Motorola Q 11 Coming in December

Motorola has unveiled a latest in its venerable Q series of of smartphones. The Q 11 will offer Wi-Fi, GPS, but not 3G.

Like previous Q models, it will use a tablet shape, with a QWERTY keyboard below its landscape-oriented QVGA display.

This device will run the latest version of Microsoft's smartphone operating system, Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, which comes with a suite of productivity and entertainment software. The Q 11 will have 64 MB of RAM and a microSD/SDHC card slot for storage.

In the wireless department, this quad-band GSM phone will have EDGE but not HSDPA. It will have Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth, though.

The Q 11 will sport a 3 MPx fixed-focus camera with LED flash.

Motorola says its 1170 mAh battery will provide up to 450 minutes of talk time or up to 195 hours of standby Time.

Overall, it will be 4.6 in. by 2.5 in. by 0.5 in. (117 mm by 64 mm by 11.7 mm), and 4 oz (115 g).

The Motorola Q 11 is scheduled to be released in December, but which carriers will be offering it is has not yet been announced.
