Google has introduced Gmail for mobile 2.0 for BlackBerries and J2ME-compliant phones. The focus for this version was to make the application faster and more reliable.
The company is promising significant raw speed improvements, smoother scrolling, and no freezing.
There are also some new features. Users can now save multiple email drafts, for example.
And this version of Gmail for mobile offers basic offline support. Users can re-read their most recent emails even when there is no signal. Also, new messages can be composed, and any outgoing messages will be saved and sent automatically when when possible.
Gmail for mobile 2.0 can be downloaded by going to m.google.com/mail on a BlackBerry or J2ME-compliant phone.
