The N96, currently Nokia's multimedia flagship model, is beginning to appear in the U.S.
Those who would like to see it in person can now find it in via Nokia's Chicago and New York City flagship stores, but it's also available online.
The N96 is one of the latest smartphones to come from the Finnish mobile device maker, and the version being sold here is made to be used on most 3G networks (850/1900 MHz).

The N96 is dual-slider smartphone from Nokia featuring the Symbian S60 operating system (version 3.2).
It features a 320-by-240-pixel display, 16 GB of internal storage, a microSDHC slot for expanded memory, built in GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and the ability to export its display via a composite TV-Out cable. A 5 MPx camera with dual LEDs rounds out the hardware features.
Though the N96 also has a DVB-H digital TV tuner, its operating frequencies are not supported by any networks in North America.
On the software side, tis smartphone has a WebKit-based web browser with FlashLite 3, Office support via QuickOffice, Exchange support via Mail for Exchange, and the ability to connect to Ovi and Flickr for sharing multimedia content from the device.
Availability
Besides the Nokia stores in Chicago and NYC, where it sells for $840, the Nokia N96 can be found at Best Buy for $900, and online at places such as Amazon.com ($706).
