Nokia's Beta Labs Releases Nokia Friend View

Nokia's acquisition of the Plazes location-based meeting and micro-blogging service earlier this year has materialized into Nokia's Friend View service.

Friend View allows users to share location and status information, viewable on a map-like interface, and then coordinate meet-ups and other communication from a unified interface.

A product of Beta Labs, Friend View is an experimental research project by Nokia Research Center.

It is compatible with Nokia's Symbian S60 devices running Feature Pack 1 (N95, E71, E81, and others) and Feature Pack 2 (N96, N85, and N78) and can be freely downloaded from the Nokia Beta Labs website.
