With BIO.ID for Windows Mobile, whenever a text message comes in, the user is prompted to perform a retina scan or fingerprint identification. Once the identity is confirmed, the message is displayed.
Of course, no software can add biometric security to a smartphone, so BIO.ID is just a simulation. It acts a text message notifier, but with some extra effects to fool passersby... and amuse the user.
It also offers an addition feature: this application can be set to automatically delete text messages in the Inbox after they have been read. Messages can be deleted or moved to the Delete folder after 15 seconds, a minute, 15 minutes, one hour, or the next morning.
However, it doesn't include an audible warning that "This message will self destruct in 15 seconds."
BIO.ID for Windows Mobile costs $9.95. For more information, visit the JGUI website.
