A device that will apparently be the replacement for the T-Mobile Shadow has received its required approval from the FCC.

The user manual for this smartphone, which appears on this government agency's website, gives a fairly complete overview. And images submitted to the FCC tell a bit more.
The Shadow II will have the same general design as its predecessor -- a tablet shape with with a portrait-oriented sliding numberpad -- but its edges will be more curved.
It will run Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, which means its 2.6-inch QVGA display won't function as a touchscreen.
This smartphone will have quad-band GSM/EDGE, but will apparently not be able to access T-Mobile's nascent 3G network. It will, however, have Wi-Fi and offer support this carrier's VoIP service.
The Shadow II has been designed by HTC, and one of the images of this device also shows the adapter that comes with the HTC Touch Pro to offer Video-Out.
Other feastures will include a microSD card slot and a 2.0 MPx camera.
It's not known at this point when T-Mobile USA will launch this model, or what its price will be. The original is an entry-level model, though, so its successor is likely to be as well.
