Palm is going to hold a press event at next month's Consumer Electronic Show where it is promising to unveil... something. All it's promising is "New-ness", but many are expecting the the debut of this company's new mobile operating system, code-named Nova.
This will happen at an event open only to journalists and industry insiders, but Palm is holding a contest, the winner of which will get to go to Palm's press conference.
The Contest
Palm has posted a cartoon on its website with some of the dialog left out. To enter the contest, people need to come up with the punchline.
These need to be submitted by Dec. 17. Palm will whittle the entries down to 10 finalists, which will the public will vote for on Palm's Facebook page.
A full contest rules can be found on Palm's website.
The Prize
A 4-day, 3-night trip for the winner to attend a Palm event at CES on January 8, 2009. They will stay at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
Whoever wins this contest will likely get a first-hand look at Palm's long-awaited new operating system, though Palm isn't promising this.
