Resco Explorer 2009, a new version of a popular file manager for the Palm OS, has been released with new features.
The latest version includes Folder Sync, which allows users to keep files synchronized between two folders. These folders can be on the mobile device or on a network.
It also adds a memory card scanner, allowing users to detect damaged file systems on the go.
Resco Explorer has long included FTP, Bluetooth file transfer, and support for SMB (Windows) shares. This version revamps the network core, improving SSL support for even higher security.
In addition to ZIP support, this application allows users to get files out of compressed and uncompressed tarballs (.tar, .tar.gz, .taz, .tgz)
Pricing and Availability
Resco Explorer 2009 for Palm OS costs $29.95 and can be purchased at all mayor retailers, including the Brighthand Store. A free trial can be downloaded from resco.net.
Those who have bought this application in the last year get a free upgrade, while all other Explorer customers can get a 50% rebate by contacting customer support.
