The BlackBerry Bold is currently available in the U.S. only from AT&T, but an unconfirmed report says Sprint will release a version of this smartphone in the next few months.
The Sprint version -- code-named Niagara -- will offer EV-DO Rev. A, according to Engadget, who cites a supposedly reliable but unnamed source. It will also have more memory and, no surprise, a Sprint-branded theme.
This model is expected to debut sometime during the first quarter of this year. Pricing is unknown.
More about the BlackBerry Bold
The BlackBerry Bold offers a higher-resolution screen than any previous BlackBerry and much better support for working with Microsoft Office files.
It uses the same general design as previous models from RIM: a tablet with a QWERTY thumb-keyboard below its 480-by-360-pixel display.
The version offered by AT&T includes 1 GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 2 MPx camera, and aGPS.
