There still isn't what any real hard evidence that Apple is preparing to launch an iPhone Nano, but the circumstantial evidence is piling up.
Specifically, Vaja Cases briefly listed the iPhone Nano on its product website. Vaja is a long-established maker of high-end leather cases for smartphones and handhelds, including the iPhone line.
This makes it the second case maker to list this un-announced product from Apple. The first was XSKN, which still has this model on its site.
And there's more, iPhone Alley claims it was told by "a reliable source within Apple" that the iPhone Nano will be announced at the MacWorld conference in mid-January.
If so, then it won't be unveiled by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who has bowed out of this tradeshow.
What the Rumors Say
According to the various unconfirmed reports, the iPhone Nano will be about the same height as the recently-released iPod Nano, but wider and thicker.
It will supposedly have much in common with the current version, but lack 3G wireless networking.
What is supposed to be an image of this device was recently sent to MacRumors.
AT&T has an exclusive multi-year contract to offer the iPhone and related products, so if the iPhone Nano is real there's no doubt which carrier will offer it in the U.S.
Many details on this model haven't even been rumored yet, such as the amount of built-in storage.
