T-Mobile is supposedly close to giving a facelift to one of its most popular Windows smartphones, the Dash. This will reportedly include a slightly new look and an upgrade to the latest operating system version.
An image that was leaked to Engadget of this upcoming version shows that the new Dash will lose the black-and-silver casing in exchange for one that a solid grey. Nothing about the actual design of this model is changing.
On the inside, this upcoming model will reportedly sport Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, the most recent edition of Microsoft's operating system for smartphones without touchscreens.
It's not yet known when the updated version of the Dash will be released, but the original one is no longer listed on T-Mobile's website, so the debut can't be too far away.
More about the T-Mobile Dash
The T-Mobile Dash uses a popular design for smartphones: a slim tablet shape with a QWERTY keyboard below the screen. This model includes a 320-by-240-pixel display that is in landscape mode by default.
It has Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth, but does not support T-Mobile's 3G network.
Like all Windows Mobile devices, it offers Push corporate email and a suite of productivity and entertainment software.
