Sling Media has announced that it will deliver a version of SlingPlayer Mobile for iPhone to Apple for certification during the first quarter of this year.
"SlingPlayer Mobile is ideally suited for the iPhone’s large touch screen display and I know iPhone users are eagerly anticipating the application’s availability," said Blake Krikorian, co-founder and CEO of Sling Media.
This application will give Slingbox owners the ability to watch and control their home TV and associated equipment from an iPhone 3G, assuming Apple approves it.
The price Sling Media will charge has not yet been determined.
The iPhone edition will join the versions of this software for BlackBerry, Palm OS, Symbian S60, and Windows Mobile, which are either already available or in development.
