QuickOffice 6 for Symbian S60 Released

QuickOffice has released a new version of its office suite for Symbian S60. Version 6 features some enhancements in the handling of Office 2007-compatible documents, as well as some general performance improvements and fixes.

What's New?

The highlighted addition to QuickOffice 6 is the ability to view and edit Microsoft Office 2007 files. This is the first software suite on Symbian S60 to offer the feature to both read and edit these files.

In addition, it adds word count, "go to cell," and the ability to open password protected files. Spell checking across the entire suite, the viewing of Excel charts, and the ability to add audio notes to Power Point files are also featured within this update.

Viewing ZIP files and better integration with Adobe Reader LE highlight some of the performance improvements in this new version.

Compatibility and Availability

QuickOffice 6 is compatible with all Symbian S60 3rd Edition devices, including the N79, N85, and N96.

This software can be downloaded over-the-air on most Symbian devices via the QuickOffice version that comes with the device. It can also be purchased from that interface.
