Fresh Images Leaked of Nokia E75

The Nokia E75 is proving to be a popular model despite it not yet being officially released or even announced. A new  batch of photos of this slider smartphone have appeared on the Web, though.

While no new abilities can be discerned from these, it does seem that this S60 device might be nearing its debut, as the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tradeshow is coming soon.

Overview of the Nokia E75

Last year, all the basic details of the Nokia E71 leaked out. It will supposedly have a 2.4-inch, 320-by-240-pixel (QVGA) screen; numeric keypad on the front and a QWERTY keyboard sliding from the left side; Symbian S60 Feature Pack 1; and a host of wireless options such as Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and 3G (HSDPA).

A battery capacity of 1050 mAh, a 3.2 MPx camera, microSD card slot, and a 3.5 mm headset jack round it out.

The new images show what looks to be a mostly metal device, following in the tradition of Nokia's E-series. Unlike many models with a built-in keyboard, it will be relatively thin: 14.4 mm.

Availability?

There has been nothing confirmed from Nokia as to when the E75 will be available, but this company will be appearing at the Mobile World Congress event later this month in Barcelona, Spain, and this may be one of its new releases.

As with many E-series devices, there will likely be a staggered release for European 3G and North American 3G versions. The E71 and E66 models for both regions debuted within a few weeks of one another, so there is no reason to not expect the same.

It is not known if this will come to the U.S. via a wireless carrier, or if Nokia will offer it directly to the public as an unlocked phone. AT&T and T-Mobile would be a couple of possibilities, due to the GSM nature of the E75.
