With Mobile World Congress tradeshow coming in a few weeks, the rumormill is working overtime. A Samsung smartphone with a laundry-list of features is the latest to sneak out before an official release.
According to unconfirmed information, this model will be named the Samsung Acme i8910. Because there is no apparent sliding keyboard, it's assumed that it will be a touchscreen based. It will feature only three hardware buttons on its front, and no D-pad.
Other features will reportedly include GPS, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm headphone jack, HDMI Output, DNLA and DivX compatibility and HD recording.
The i8910 is also said to come in 8 GB and 16 GB versions, much like Samsung's Symbian S60-powered InnoV8.
It's not known what type of camera will be in this model. Currently Samsung sells 5 and 8 megapixel high-end mobiles, and this will probably at least have the latter, and possibly higher.
Unknown Information
Right now, it is not known what the operating system, release date, or price is for the Samsung Acme i8910. Samsung has been noted to be working with Windows Mobile, Android, and Symbian operating systems and this hardware can work with any of them.
Update: According to new images that have leaked out, this smartphone will run Symbian S60 5th Edition. Additional details are available in this article.
More information about this device is expected during the Mobile World Congress tradeshow, which kicks off the middle of this month.
