There's good news for those who are interested in the BlackBerry Curve 8900, which will soon be available from T-Mobile USA: it's going to sell for a bit less than expected.
According to a price sheet that has leaked out of T-Mobile, the latest version of the Curve is going to sell for $150 with a two-year contract but no mail-in rebates.
Update: This report turned out to be incorrect. T-Mobile USA had launched this model at $200. For more information, read this article.
This wireless carrier is expected to introduce the 8900 later this month, though exactly when isn't yet known.
For those who can't wait, this BlackBerry can be purchased now unlocked, but at a considerable higher price;
An Overview of the BlackBerry Curve 8900
The BlackBerry Curve 8900 -- formerly known as the Javelin -- has a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.44-inch, HVGA+ (480 by 360 pixel) display. It is the thinnest and lightest BlackBerry with a full keyboard.
This quad-band GSM smartphone does not have 3G, but does include Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth.
It also also has a 512 MHz processor, GPS receiver, a 3.2 MPx camera, and a 1400 mAHr battery.
T-Mobile's version will support this carrier's Unlimited HotSpot Calling service -- which uses Wi-Fi VoIP -- as well as unlimited nationwide calling to five people with the myFaves service.
It will include a microSD card slot and be bundled with a 256 MB card.
