Truphone has proven to be a very popular VoIP application for Symbian S60, Android, BlackBerry and Apple iPod Touch/iPhone users. In its most recent update, it has added integration with AOL's AIM instant messaging service, and the accepting of PayPal credit for pre-payment for calls out of network.
Truphone's new integration with AIM is added to the existing support for IM with other services such as Google Talk, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger. In addition to IM support, the latest version of this service enables voice calling over AOL IM, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger networks when those services are readied.
Truphone's acceptance of PayPal credit enables users in over 200 countries to utilize it as a carrier service at competitive international rates.
This application is compatible with Nokia's Symbian S60 devices, BlackBerry devices running OS 4.2 or greater, T-Mobile's G1 running Google Android, and Apple's iPod Touch (2nd generation) and iPhone devices.
