Yahoo is going to release a new version of its Yahoo Mobile application. This currently features a one-stop access point for Yahoo's various services such as News, Mail, and Flickr, while an new version -- which will be initially available as a public beta -- will improve the user interface, device compatibility, and add several new web services to the platform.

There will three variants of Yahoo Mobile. The web version -- Yahoo Mobile Web -- will be available by the end of March. Yahoo Mobile for iPhone will also be released at the end of March. Nokia S60, S40, BlackBerry and selected Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Motorola devices will be able to use Yahoo Mobile for Smartphones at the end of May.
The betas will be regionally limited to U.S., Canada, UK, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
