HTC has released an update for the system software on the unlocked version of the Touch Pro. This is not a tremendously significant update, but takes care of a number of small bugs in this Windows Mobile smartphone.
For example, it fixes a problem that sometimes causes the camera's auto-focus to malfunction. And it takes care of a bug that sometimes causes TouchFLO 3D to hang.
Proceed with Caution
This is a software update for the "generic" version of the Touch Pro. If it is installed on a device released by a mobile carrier -- like Sprint, Verizon, or AT&T -- any additional software or settings provided by the carrier will be lost.
Installing this update will erase any data stored on the device, and the system can not be downgraded again.
Visit HTC's website to download the new version of the Touch Pro's system software, and find the instructions for installing it.
