Nokia BetaLabs Releases New Version of Ovi Contacts

Nokia's BetaLabs has released a new update to its Ovi Contacts application. This features fixes specific to Symbian S60 Feature Pack 2 (v3.2) devices, such as performance enhancements and an improved search functionality.

Ovi Contacts is an extension to the built-in Contacts application which adds the ability to send instant messages to contacts who are on Ovi, Google Talk, Jabber, and other XMPP-enabled instant messaging applications.

It is also able to display presence notifications. These notifications can be manually set, or based upon location (using GPS integration) or music (integration with the Nokia Music player application).

Pricing and Availability
While Ovi Contacts is a beta application, it is free for users of Nokia's Symbian S60 Feature Pack 1 and Feature Pack 2 devices.
