Torch Mobile has launched the first full version of its Iris Browser, a free web browser for Windows Mobile that is based on the WebKit rendering engine.
This application has been available as a beta for some time, but its developers promise that version 1.1.3 offers a number of enhancements, including big performance gains, support for the Flash Lite ActiveX control, reduced memory usage, preliminary RSS and SVG support, the highest Acid3 score of any shipping mobile browser, and HTC accelerometer support.
After version 1.1.0 was released last week, users of the HTC Touch Pro/AT&T Fuze and Touch Diamond ran into problems with it. Torch Mobile says that 1.1.3 takes care of some, but not all, of these.
