The BlackBerry Storm already includes the ability to cut and paste text, but an upcoming system software update for this smartphone will offer an improved system for performing this task.
This new method features a large box that appears on screen when the user touches some text. This makes it easier for the user to guide their finger movements.
The ability to cut and paste text is seen as one of the Storm's main advantages over its rival, the Apple iPhone 3G, so it's no surprise that RIM wants to make it as easy to use as possible.
This change will be part of BlackBerry OS 4.7.0.112, which hasn't yet been released by RIM, nor even been leaked to the public. It's not yet known when this new version will be introduced, but there has been a steady stream of software updates for the Storm leaked to the public.
