HTC Touch Diamond System Software Updated

HTC has released an update for the system software on the unlocked version of the Touch Diamond.  This is not a tremendously significant update, as it is a "bug fix" version of an update HTC released for this Windows Mobile smartphone last month.

For those who missed the earlier version, it fixes a problem that prevents the device being able to receive MMS when in standby mode. And it takes care of a bug that will sometimes cause the camera preview pane to be black.

Proceed with Caution
This is a software update for the "generic" version of the Touch Diamond. If it is installed on a device released by a mobile carrier -- like Sprint -- any additional software or settings provided by the carrier will be lost.

Installing this update will erase any data stored on the device, and the system can not be downgraded again.
