Rumors of the Samsung's Instinct Mini have been around for months, but the first images of this device may have just surfaced.
The Instinct is a high-end, touchscreen-oriented phone from Sprint often compared with the iPhone. The Instinct Miniwill supposedly be a smaller, thinner version on course to debut this spring.
The images that appeared today are typical pre-release camera shots: grainy andslightly out of focus. Still, one givesan overview of this device's shape (see here). A second apparently confirms that this device runs the same operating system as the Instinct (see here).
Unfortunately, neither includes any kind of scale to show how much smaller this device is than the current one. The source for these images, a post on SprintUsers.com, describes it as "a little smaller, more lightweight."
Headed for Sprint
A prominent Sprint logo in these pictures seems to indicate the carrier this model is headed for.
According to previous rumors, the Instinct Miniwill support Sprint's EV-DO service, butthis will be Rev 0, not the faster Rev. A.
It will supposedly be an additional option for customers, not a replacement for the current model.
