The Nokia E71 has been rumored to be coming to AT&T for a few months, and now a leak of a retailer's stock sheet not only confirms it for AT&T, but also an on-sale date of April 1.
While the unlocked version has been available since last summer, this would be a carrier-backed edition of this smartphone.
Previous reports of the AT&T version of the E71 have it coming with Symbian S60 v3.2 (versus v3.1 in the unlocked version) and other tweaks to some default applications.
More about the E71
The Nokia E71 is a QWERTY Symbian S60 smartphone. Within its 11mm thick metal frame lies a 320-by-240-pixel screen, a keyboard, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, 1500 mAh battery, and a suite of productivity-tuned software.
There are Euro-3G and North American-3G variants, in which the only difference is the supported mobile broadband frequencies. Naturally, an AT&T version would offer support for this carrier's 3G network.
The Nokia E71 currently retails for around $400 unlocked, but AT&T's subsidized price is likely to be considerably lower.
