Google has released a free application to allow Windows Mobile and S60 phones to play YouTube videos.
The Windows Mobile version is similar to the player that comes on many HTC models, but not identical.
This player should not be confused with the mobile-friendly version of the YouTube website that has been available for some time. This is a stand-alone application that can be installed on the device.
Both the S60 and Windows Mobile versions provide lists of the top rated, most viewed, or most recent videos, and it allows users to search for videos by keywords. Once a video has been selected, it can play in full-screen mode.
The new YouTube video player can be downloaded now by going to http://m.youtube.com . There is no charge.
