Opera Software has unveiled the new Opera Mobile 9.7, a new version of its web browser for smartphones.
This will feature Opera Turbo, the company's compression technology that offloads Web page rendering to Opera servers.
It will also include the latest Presto 2.2 rendering engine--the same engine used in Opera 10 desktop.
The company promises that Opera Mobile 9.7 will also have full support for dynamic Web technologies such as Ajax and Flash for accessing popular sites like Facebook and YouTube.
This browser will also include hardware acceleration, Open GL ES, and support for Google Gears.

Despite this announcement, Opera Mobile 9.7 has not yet been released, even as a beta. Still, its developer says it will be available for download by the end of June at the latest.
